    Chinese Chicken Wings 2

    A slightly different version. This omits the pineapple and is prepared on top of the stove. I have had this recipe so long that I no longer remember where I got it.


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 1 cup dark soy sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 t. fresh ginger, minced
    • 1/2 cup oil (I use 1/4 cup)


    Instructions


    1. Combine sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Marinate wings overnight. Drain marinade and bring to room temperature.
    2. Heat oil in skillet. Add marinade. Heat until it foams. Add wings. Cook uncovered about 25 minutes, turning wings several times.
    3. If necessary, raise heat to reduce sauce. These will be sticky.


    Final Comments


    I like Chinese chili sauce with this recipe. This is also good with jumbo shrimp.
