    Jean's Caramel Corn

    My sister Jean used to make this when her children were little.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup corn syrup
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon soda
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix the first four ingredients (butter through salt) and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add the soda and vanilla.


    2. Pour hot mixture over 6 quarts popped popcorn. Spread on baking sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.


    Final Comments


    This would be a treat around Halloween.
