    This is authentic--straight from Turkey. Mac E.worked for the Turkish Dept. of Ag. back in the '60's. He was sent to Alabama for several months to study our crop reporting techniques. We sort of adopted him and he spent many an evening with us. This is his mother's recipe and we find it most appealing.

    Bone a leg of lamb. Cut the meat in bite-size (@ 1" square) chunks. Marinate up to 3 days in the refrigerator with 3 onions, cut in 1/8's.

    Discard onions.

    Thread lamb on skewers. Grill until nicely browned, but still on the rare side.

    Serve with eggplant salad (See Salads), wild rice mix, and garlic bread.
