    I love the real LaraBar's and this comes in a close second. Generally I double or triple the recipe.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup Trader Joe's sliced raw almonds
    1/4 cup Trader Joe's raw cashews
    Juice of one lemon
    Zest of one lemon
    Dates (the original recipe calls for 12 pitted dates-I buy Ziyad baking dates that come in a brick and use about 1/4 of the package.)

    Toss everything in the food processor except the cashews. Process and taste-add more lemon if it's not lemony enough, add more dates if it's not sweet enough.

    Toss in the cashews and process until you get the ball effect. Taste again, add a pinch of sea salt if desired. Makes 4 bars or you can roll them into balls-whatever you like.
