Nacho Potato Soup

Recipe Introduction
This recipe is from Quick Cooking, I think the first issue. It is
easy enough for a child to prepare and delicious. The perfect quick
winter meal.
List of Ingredients
- 1 pkg.[5-1/4oz.] au gratin potatoes
- 1 can [11oz] whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can [10oz.] diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups cubed process American Cheese
- Dash of hotsauce, optional
Instructions
- In 3 qt. saucepan, combine the contents of the potato pkg., corn,
tomatoes and water; mix well.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover
and simmer for 15 min. or until potatoes are tender.
- Add milk,
cheese and hotsauce if desired; cook and stir until the chees is
melted.
- Garnish with parsely if desired. Yield: 6-8 servings [2 qts.]
