    Linda's Caramel Fudge

    3/4 c. margarine
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. confectionary sugar, sifted
    1 c. walnuts, chopped



    Recipe



    In a heavy sauce pan, melt butter. Add brown sugar.

    Cook over low heat for 2 mins., stirring until it boils.
    Remove from heat.

    Cool until lukewarm.

    Stir in vanilla.

    Gradually add confectionary sugar, beating viorously, until mixture is a fudge-like connsistency, about 2 mins.

    Stir in nuts.

    Spread into a buttered 8x8x2" pan.

    Chill, and cut into squares.
