    List of Ingredients




    12 lg. cucumbers
    4 med onions
    3/4 c. salt added to 3 qt. cold water
    1 1/4 tsp. clove
    1 green pepper
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp tumeric powder
    2 c. sugar




    Recipe



    Cut cucumbers and onions in slices 1/4-1/2" thick.

    Soak over night in salted water.

    Put 1 qt. vinegar in a lg. pan or kettle. Add
    black pepper, celery seed, mustard seed, tumeric powder, and sugar.

    Drain the liquid out of cukes and onions. Add them into the vinegar mixture in the kettle.

    Bring to a good scald, almost a boil.

    Next, sterilize jars in boiling water in a lg. canning pan, or whatever you are using.

    Add the pickle mixture to the jars, and seal while hot.

    Make sure seals are down.

    These are delicious!
