Grammie Bea's Chocolate No-Bake Cookies

2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1 stick butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2-3 c. Quaker Oats
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Recipe
Mix the sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk in a med. saucepan, and heat over med. heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil.
Let mixture boil for 2 1/2 mins., then remove from heat.
Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, oats, and nuts. If it looks on the runny side and soft, add another 1/2 c. oats gradually, until desired thickness, and mix in. You don't want them to spread out too much when you drop them onto the wax paper.
Working quickly, drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool.
Note:
You can add coconut and/or raisins if you like.
