List of Ingredients
1 lb. elbows macaroni, cooked according to pkg. directions
1 lb. hamburger
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 lg. can chopped tomatoes in sauce
1 14-15 oz. can whole tomatoes, chopped into chunks (I use pine cone)
1 lg. can tomato paste
2 T. italian seasoning
2 T. oregano
2 tsp. garlic powder or 2 T. chopped garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
In frying pan put enough oil to fry hamburger. Cook meat until done. Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, cook and drain macaroni. Set aside.
In a lg. pan put chopped onions, tomatoes, tomato paste and
seasonings, and salt and pepper, stirring to mix together. Cook until hot, then add hamburger meat. Cook for about 25-30 mins. on med high heat, until it starts to thicken.
When sauce is cooked down enough so it is on the thick side, add macaroni to sauce and mix in well. Sometimes I just like to spoon my sauce over my macaroni. Do whichever you like best.
Serve with bread sticks or garlic bread and a salad for a meal.
