    This freezes wonderfully. I usually make up about 100 to 150 baggies of pesto every summer, to freeze.

    It's wonderful to just put on pasta by itself, or put with pasta, and serve with grilled chicken.

    A little put into a homeade chicken soup, is wonderful.

    I have literally thousands of uses for pesto.

    I love it very much on pizza, instead of red sauce, with grilled chicken, and a little cheese and slices fresh
    tomatoes. Wonderful.


    List of Ingredients




    Pesto:
    1/2 c. fresh basil leaves, packed
    1/4 c. parmigiano-reggiano, grated
    1/4 c. parsley sprigs, packed
    2 T. pine nuts, or chopped walnuts
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 c. olive oil

    Recipe



    In food processor fitted with metal blade, process basil leaves, cheese, parsley, pine nuts, and garlic until smooth paste forms.

    Gradually add olive oil, and process until well blended.
