Recipe By : Sandy's Recipe Journal
    Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00
    Categories : Breads

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1 package hot roll mix
    2 tablespoons margarine -- melted
    2/3 cup water -- warmed
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 egg
    Nut Filling (see note)*
    1 pound nuts -- ground
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons milk -- warmed

Dissolve yeast from the hot roll mix in the water in a small bowl. Add sugar, margarine and eggs; blend well. Add the hot roll mix and mix well. Do not knead! Let rise until double in size, about 1 hour. Divide into two halves. Roll each into a rectangle and spread with nut filling, about 2 cups per roll and roll up. Seal ends well. Let rise 30 minutes. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 375 F. for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

NOTES : This is my sister, Peggy's recipe for the holidays. Be sure to moisten filling only enough to form a ball when squeezed in hand.
