Best-Ever Buttermilk Pies
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
6 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla
Pastry for two 9-inch shells
Mix sugar and flour; set aside. Whisk eggs, add buttermilk, melted butter and vanilla. Mix well. Slowly add flour-sugar mixture and beat thoroughly. Pour into two unbaked 9-inch pie shells. Bake at 325° F. for 1 hour.
