    Aunt Ruth's Pecan Butter Balls

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    2 cups all-purpose flour -- sifted
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup butter
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3 cups chopped pecans

    Sift flour, sugar and salt. Work in butter and vanilla. Add 2 cups chopped nuts and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in remaining 1 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 325 F. for about 25 minutes. If desired, roll in confectioner's or granulated sugar instead of nuts.
