    Peggy's Peanut Butter Cookies

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 cup margarine
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup brown sugar
    2 eggs -- beaten
    1 cup peanut butter
    2 teaspoons vanilla

    Sift flour, measure and resift 3 times with soda and baking powder. Cream the butter, margarine and sugars thoroughly; add eggs, mixing well. Add the flour and mix in bowl only enough to form a sot dough. Make into smooth balls; lay on ungreased cookie sheets, 1-inch apart. Press with floured fork to make a criss-cross pattern.
    Bake at 375 F. for 10 to 12 minutes.
