Mom's Fruit Crumble
2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
6 cups sliced fresh or frozen rhubarb
4 cups sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Ice cream
Mix together rolled oats, melted butter, brown sugar and 1/4 cup sliced almonds. Set aside. Combine sugar and cornstarch; add fruit and mix well. Transfer fruit mixture to a 11x7x2" buttered baking dish. Top with oat mixture. Bake at 350° F. for 45 minutes.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle top with 2 tablespoons sliced almonds. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 15 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
