1 cup regular raw rice
1 can chicken broth
6 ounces beer
1/2 small onion -- finely chopped
1/4 small green bell pepper -- finely chopped
1/3 cup margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1 Dash pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
Saute the onion and pepper in margarine until soft, not browned. Add all other ingredients; bring to a boil, then cover and simmer 40 minutes or until rice is tender.
Serves 4
