    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons canola oil
    3 tablespoons red wine vinegar -- or less
    3 tablespoons sugar

    Combine all ingredients in a bottle or cruet and mix well. Let stand for 30 minutes.
    Pour over mixed salad greens and toss well. Refrigerate any unused portion.
