Spread-On Hamburgers

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 Dash Tabasco
2 eggs
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 medium onions -- grated
3 tablespoons chili sauce
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
12 hamburger buns
Split buns. Combine remaining ingredients together and mix well. Spread mixture on cut surface of split buns. Broil at medium heat, about 10 minutes. Surface of meat should be 3-inches beneath surface of unit. Serve at once.
If desired, hamburgers may be completely prepared (except for broiling) separated with waxed paper or aluminum foil and stacked together for refrigerator storage until time to broil.
