    The flavor was good but the boiling time is too much so I'm still working to adjust this recipe.

    List of Ingredients





    2 1/2 tsp yeast
    3 c flour
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/2 tbsp sugar
    1 1/4 c warm water
    --
    6 c water
    1/2 tbsp sugar
    1 egg, beaten

    Recipe




    Place ingredients in machine and use dough cycle.
    Remove dough after first cycle, as second kneading begins.
    Flour work surface.
    Form into balls and push your thumb through to make bagel shapes - or - roll into ropes and overlap ends.
    Place on baking sheet and cover with clean towel; let rest for 30 minutes.
    Bring to boil 6 c water and 1/2 tbsp sugar.
    Boil each bagel for 5 minutes**
    Place on baking sheet.
    Brush each bagel with beaten egg.
    Bake at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes

    Notes:
    Boiling time was too long and the bagels were mushy; I reduced the boiling time and they were better.
    I baked for 25 minutes on parchment paper.
