    Great tasting muffins.

    List of Ingredients





    3/4 c sugar
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    3 large bananas, mashed
    1/3 cu butter or margarine, melted
    1 1/2 c flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt

    Topping:
    1/4 c flour
    1/4 c sugar
    1/3 c large-flake rolled oats
    2 tbsp butter or shortening

    Recipe




    Preheat to 375. Grease 12 muffin cups.
    Combine sugar, eggs and mashed bananas; mix well.
    Add melted butter and continue mixing.
    Add dry ingredients and stir until mixture is moistened.
    Spoon into 12 prepared muffin cups.

    Topping:
    Combine dry ingredients and stir to mix.
    Cut in butter with a fork until it makes crumbs.
    Spread on top of muffins.

    Bake muffins for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean.
    The tops will be slightly brown.
    Makes 12 muffins.

    Notes:
    Muffins freeze and reheat well in microwave.
    I used real butter and old-fashioned oats.
    Original recipe called for brown sugar in the toppings, not regular sugar.
