    Hershey's Chocolate Cookbook

    List of Ingredients





    1/2 c butter or margarine, melted
    1 c sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
    1/2 c flour
    1/3 c Hershey's cocoa
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 c chopped nuts, optional

    Creamy Brownie Frosting
    3 tbsp butter or margarine, softened
    3 tbsp Hershey's cocoa
    1 tbsp light corn syrup or honey
    1/2 tps vanilla
    1 c powdered sugar
    1 to 2 tbsp milk


    Recipe





    Preheat to 350.
    Blend butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl.
    Add eggs; use a wooden spoon to beat well.
    Combine dry ingredients and add gradually to the egg mixture.
    If desired, add nuts.
    Spray a 9 inch square pan.
    Spread batter in pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until brownie begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.
    Cool then frost.
    Makes 16 small brownies.

    Frosting:
    Cream butter, cocoa, honey and vanilla in a small bowl.
    Add powdered sugar and milk; beat to spreading consistency.
    Spread on brownies.
    Makes about 1 c frosting.

    Notes:
    I used unsalted butter, large eggs and honey.
