    Chocolate Chip Confetti Cookies

    Source of Recipe

    Great American Brand Name Baking

    Recipe Introduction

Oh, these are rich! Excellent cookies and the combination of chips adds to the great flavor.

    List of Ingredients

    3/4 c butter flavor Crisco
    1 1/4 c sugar*
    2 tbsp milk
    1 tbsp vanlla
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c flour
    1 tsp salt
    3/4 tsp baking soda
    1/2 c coarsely chopped peanuts**
    1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips***
    1/2 c white chocolate chips
    1/2 c milk chocolate chips

    Recipe

    Preheat to 375.
Combine shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla.
Mix at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
    Add egg and mix.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Add nuts and chips.
Drop by 2 level tablespoonfuls into a mound for each cookie. Space them about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 8 to 9 minutes. Cookies will appear moist but do not over bake. Remove from oven and let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes - they will finish baking on the sheets.
Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
    makes 2 dozen.

    Notes:
*Original recipes calls for brown sugar
**original recipe called for 1 c chopped walnuts
***original recipe called for 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chunks
I used lowfat milk, a large egg and was very generous with the chocolate chips (all flavors).
    I baked for 9 to 10 minutes.
The cookies do not appear baked but they do finish baking on the sheets. I let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes before placing on a wire rack.
I doubled the recipe and ended up with 6 dozen cookies.
