    3 c sugar
    1 C oil
    4 eggs
    15 oz can pumpkin
    3 1/2 c flour
    2 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp salt
    1 heaping tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp allspice
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 tsp ground cloves
    2/3 c water

    Recipe





    Preheat to 350.
    Prepare 2 loaf pans, about 9 by 5, with oil and flour.
    Combine dry ingredients and mix well.
    Add oil, eggs, canned pumpkin and mix about 3 minutes with an electric mixer on low setting.
    Add the water and beat until it is blended in.
    Pour into prepared pans, dividing equally.
    Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Test with a toothpick in the center.
    Cool on a wire rack, in pans, for 8 to 10 minutes, then remove from pans and allow to cool completely.

    Notes:
    I use large eggs.
    Wrapped in plastic and then placed in a freezer bag, this bread freezes well.
