    Recipe Introduction

I always get requests for this recipe. It is super easy to make and very delicious.

    List of Ingredients

    1 c flour
    ½ c sugar
    ¼ tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    ½ c milk
1 can (lg, 30 oz or whatever they are now or use 2 of the 16 oz cans) sliced peaches
    ¼ c brown sugar*
    2 tbsp butter

    Recipe

Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir to mix.
    Add milk and mix well.

Drain juice from peaches into a 2 c measuring cup.
Add enough water to liquid to equal 1 ½ c
Pour liquid into saucepan, add brown sugar and butter.
Heat (medium heat) to melt butter and dissolve sugar, stirring frequently.

Pour flour mixture into prepared pan 9x9X 2 square or equivalent rectangular
Place sliced peaches over the top of the batter.
Pour warm liquid mixture over all. (this is a very thin mixture)
Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.

*I can’t eat brown sugar so I use regular granulated sugar. I added just a couple of drops of caramel extract to the liquid mixture.
I can’t eat peaches in syrup so I use peaches in water or their own juice and add just a little bit of peach extract to the liquid mixture.
