    This is yummy and very filling. Simple to make too!

    List of Ingredients




    1 c shortening
    1 1/3 c sugar
    2 eggs
    2 2/3 c flour
    4 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 1/3 c milk

    topping:
    1/4 c sugar
    1 tsp cinnamon

    Recipe



    Preheat to 350.
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs, one at at time, mixing well after each addition.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add 1/4 c dry ingredients, mix well.
    Add 1/4 c milk, mix well.
    Continue alterating between the sifted dry ingredients and the milk, being sure to begin and end with dry ingredients and mix well between additions.

    Lightly butter and flour a 12 inch shallow baking pan (I used a 9 x 13 pan).
    Pour in batter and bake for 45 minutes or until the cake slightly pulls away from the side of the pan and is firm to touch. Also test with a tooth pick.
    While the cake bakes, combine sugar and cinnamon.
    Spread on top of hot cake immediately.

    Notes:
    I used butter flavored shortening, large eggs and Chinese cinnamon.
    I used butter flavored spray on the pan.

    Makes 1 9x13 cake.
