    Beef Noodle Bake

    Recipe Introduction

    This is a family favorite. Much like lasagne but not as time consuming to prepare.

    List of Ingredients


    Beef Noodle Bake

    4 oz medium noodles, (3 cups)
    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 c chopped onion
    1/4 c chopped green pepper
    1 can, 15 oz, tomato sauce
    1/2 tsp seasoned salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 can, 4 oz, sliced mushrooms, optional
    2 c cottage cheese (16 oz)
    1 pkg., 3 oz, cream cheese, softened

    My additions:
    minced garlic
    Italian seasoning
    Parmesan cheese

    Recipe


    Preheat to 350.

    Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.

    In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion and green pepper. Cook until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain
    fat.

    Stir in tomato sauce, salt and pepper, (and minced garlic, Italian seasoning and mushrooms if desired) and simmer.

    In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese and cream cheese. Blend with an electric mixer until fluffy.

    Spoon noodles in a greased 10 x 6 x 2 baking dish. Spoon cheese mixture over noodles and top with meat sauce.
    Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

    Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes. 6 servings.
