List of Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 cup cooking oil
- TOPPING
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 2 tablespoons white syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- CAKE; sugar and eggs. Beat well.
- Add cooking oil and mix till creamy
- fold in chopped apples and nuts.
- Bake in 9x13 pan or 2 7x11 pans,at 375 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- TOPPING; put all ingredients in saucepan and boil to softball stage.
- Punch holes in cake with fork before pouring sauce.
- Pour sauce over cake while hot.
