    FRESH APPLE CAKE

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 3/4 cup sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2 cups chopped apples
    • 1 cup nuts
    • 1 cup cooking oil
    • TOPPING
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 stick oleo
    • 2 tablespoons white syrup
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 cup buttermilk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. CAKE; sugar and eggs. Beat well.

    2. Add cooking oil and mix till creamy

    3. fold in chopped apples and nuts.

    4. Bake in 9x13 pan or 2 7x11 pans,at 375 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    5. TOPPING; put all ingredients in saucepan and boil to softball stage.

    6. Punch holes in cake with fork before pouring sauce.

    7. Pour sauce over cake while hot.
