    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 4 cups sugar
    • 1 cup white syrup
    • 2/3 cup water
    • 4 egg whites beaten till stiff
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 cup nuts


    Instructions


    1. In large pan cook first 4 ingredients over meduim teat until candy temperature reaches 270.
    2. let cool a bit and then pour over egg whets slowly, beating constantly until mixture begins to pull from sides of bowl
    3. add vanilla and nuts, beat until mixture begins to set
    4. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper on cookie sheet.
    5. Makes 40 pieces
