    PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 box yellow cake mix
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
    • 1 egg
    • FILLING
    • 2/3 cup reserved cake mix
    • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 3 eggs


    Instructions


    1. Grease bottom and sides of 9 x 13 pan.
    2. Reserve 2/3 cup dry cake mix for filling.
    3. In large mixing bowl combine remaining dry cake mix butter and egg
    4. mix until crumly
    5. Press in prepared pan
    6. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes until light gloden brown
    7. FILLING
    8. In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients
    9. pour over parically baked crust
    10. Sprinkle with 1 cup of chopped pecans
    11. Return to oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until fill is set
    12. Cool and cut into bars.............
