    FUDGY CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

    • 5 tablespoons stick margarine or butter
    • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
    • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
    • 1 1/2 cups sugar
    • 3 large egg whites, lightly beaten
    • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • cooking spray
    • 1 cup all purpose flour


    Instructions


    1. preheat oven to 325
    2. Melt margarine and chocolate in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    3. Stir in cocoa; cook 1 minute
    4. stir in sugar; cook 1 minute
    5. Remove pan from heat and cool slightly
    6. Combine egg whites and egg
    7. Gradually add warm chocolate mixture to egg mixture, stirring with a whisk until well blended.
    8. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife
    9. Combine flour and baking powder; add flour mixture to chocolate mixture, stirring well.
    10. Spoon batter into a 9-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray.
    11. Bake at 325 for 27 minutes (do not over bake) Cool in pan on a wire rack.
    12. YIELD: 20 SERVINGS
