List of Ingredients



• 1 3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour
  
• 2 cups sugar
  
• 2 teaspoon baking powder
  
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  
• 1 teaspoon salt
  
• 1/4 cup soft shortening
  
• 1 1/2 cups milk
  
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
  
• 2 eggs
  
• 4 squares unsweetened chocolate melted
  
• 1 cup chopped nuts
  






Instructions



1. preheat oven to 350
   
2. Grease and flour 13x9x2 pan
   
3. sift dry ingredients.
   
4. add shortening, milk and vanilla
   
5. beat 2 minutes on meduim speed, scrape sides and bottom of bowl
   
6. add eggs, chocolate
   
7. beat 2 more minutes
   
8. stir in chopped nuts
   
9. bake 40 to 50 minutes
