List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- few grains of salt
- 1 cup meduim cream or evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
Instructions
- combine sugars and salt in saucepan add 1/2 cup cream.
- Cook, stirring until sugars dissolve
- cover sugar mixture and cook 2 minutes
- remove cover stir constantly and add remaining cream gradully so sugar mixture never stops boiling
- cook panocha syrup until soft ball forns in icy cold water.
- remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm
- add flavoring and beat until panocha is creamy (shiny appearance disappears and shape is held when dropped from spoon
- pour panocha into shallow 8-inch pan
- mark into squares when almost cool.
