    2 cups flour
    4 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup milk

    Recipe



    Method:-

    Preheat oven to 425F.
    In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut the butter into flour mixture.
    With a fork stir in milk until all the dry ingredients have been moistened.
    Empty on a lightly floured board. Knead for 8 to 10 turns (no more).
    Roll out to 1/4-inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter or cut with a knife.
    Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
    Best served hot with real butter and/or jam.
    They are also delicious cold.
