    Big Al's Special Weenies

    Source of Recipe

    some guy at a party

    Recipe Introduction

When I first saw these at a party, I thought they were JUST cocktail weenies wrapped in bacon. When I tasted one, I thought it was one of the best party foods I have ever had. I found the guy who made them & he told me the secret. I have made these for several parties and they are a BIG HIT!

    List of Ingredients

One pack of cocktail weenies (I think one lb)
    one pound of sliced bacon
    A lot of brown sugar
    toothpicks

    Recipe

Pre-heat oven to 400. Cut the sliced bacon into thirds.
Wrap each weenie with a piece of bacon & secure with a toothpick. Put all of the weenies into a baking dish.
Sprinkle a LOT of brown sugar on top. Bake for about 30 minutes. Check on them after 20 minutes to make sure they are not burned.
If you put them out on a plate as party food, you may have to reheat every once and a while because the fat will harden.

NOTE: The above procedure makes a delicious bite. But I try to make mine a little lower in fat. So I do not put the brown sugar on for the first 10 or 15 minutwes of baking.
After this time, I pour off the bacon grease and then pour on the sugar. I then finish baking until done.
