THIS IS A CASSEROLE THAT TASTES LIKE STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS BUT IS MUCH EASIER TO MAKE.
List of Ingredients
- 1 POUND GROUND BEEF
- 1/2 CUP ONION, FINELY CHOPPED
- 1 (16 OUNCE) CAN STEWED TOMATOES, CUT UP
- 1 LARGE GREEN PEPPER , CHOPPED
- 1/2 CUP UNCOOKED LONG GRAINED RICE
- 1/2 CUP OF WATER
- 2 TEASPOONS WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 1/4 TEASPOON PEPPER
- 1 CUP CHEDDER CHEESE
Instructions
- PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
- BROWN GROUND BEEF; DRAIN
- TRANSFER BEEF TO A GREASED 2 QUART CASSEROLE
- ADD NEXT EIGHT INGREDIENTS
- COVER WITH FOIL AND BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ONE HOUR OR UNTIL RICE IS TENDER.
- UNCOVER AND SPRINKLE WITH CHEESE
- RETURN CASSEROLE TO OVEN UNTIL CHEESE MELTS;ABOUT FIVE MINUTES.
