    FOR A LUNCH, SUPPER OR BRUNCH THIS IS A NICE RECIPE AND TASTES GREAT.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 POUND GROUND BEEF
    • 1/4 CUP FINELY CHOPPED SWEET GREEN PEPPER
    • 1/2 TEASPOON OREGANO
    • 1/4 TEASPOON GARLIC SALT
    • 1/2 CUP TOMATO PASTE
    • 1 (6 0Z) CAN TOMATO PASTE
    • 1 (8 OZ) CAN TOMATO SAUCE
    • 1/4 TEASPOON BASIL
    • 1/4 CUP PARMESAN CHEESE
    • 1/4 CUP CHEDDER CHEESE
    • 1 LOAF OF FRENCH OR ITALIAN BREAD...UNSLICED


    Instructions


    1. PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES
    2. BROWN BEEF AND ONION IN A SKILLET.
    3. DRAIN AND RETURN BEEF TO SKILLET
    4. ADD GREEN PEPPER, TOMATO PASTE, TOMATO SAUCE AND SEASONINGS, MIX WELL.
    5. SIMMER FOR 10 MINUTES, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.
    6. WHILE MEAT MIXTURE IS SIMMERING, PREPARE BREAD.
    7. CUT BREAD LENGTHWISE ABOUT 1/3 DEPTH OF LOAF.
    8. REMOVE TOP AND HOLLOW OUT CENTER OF BOTTOM LOAF.
    9. REMOVE MEAT MIXTURE FROM HEAT AND ADD PARMESAN AND CHEDDER CHEESE, MIX WELL.
    10. FILL LOAF WITH MEAT MIXTURE AND TOP WITH CHEDDER CHEESE.
    11. PUT TOP ON LOAF AND WRAP TIGHTLY WITH FOIL.
    12. BAKE AT 400 DEGREES FOR 6 TO 8 MINUTES.


    Final Comments


    IF YOU LIKE, YOU CAN USE HOGIE OR FRENCH ROLLS IN PLACE OF ONE WHOLE LOAF.
