    Gypsy Chicken Stew

    List of Ingredients




    7 chicken drumsticks
    1/2 can chickpeas, drasined
    1/2 cup diced tomatoes
    1/2 red pepper chopped
    1 cup onions chopped
    1 cup potatoes chopped
    1/4 cup celery sliced
    1 tsp sweet paprika
    1/2 tsp tumeric
    1/2 tsp dried basil
    1/4 tsp cayenne peper
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 bay leaf
    11/2 cups chicken broth
    2 cloves garlic minced

    Recipe



    Place drumsticks on bottom of slow cooker
    Cover with chickpeas, diced tomatoes, red pepper, onion, potato and celery
    Mix spices including garlic and bay leaf with broth and olive oil
    Pour over contents of slow cooker
    Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours (high 3-4 hours)

    The sauce can be thickened, if desired, by mixing 1 tbsp of cornstarch with 1/2 cup of the sauce from the stew.
    Add cornstarch mixture to stew and mix well
