    Seafood: Grilled Ginger Shrimp

    List of Ingredients

    1/3 cup soy sauce
    1/3 cup molasses
    3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
    3 tablespoons chopped garlic
    1 1/2 tablespoons chopped peeled gingerroot
    3 pounds uncooked large unshelled shrimp

    Recipe

    To prepare sauce, combine soy sauce, molasses, vinegar, garlic and ginger in nonreactive bowl and whisk well to blend. Set aside. Prepare wooden skewers by soaking them in water for 30 minutes; dry before using. Peel and devein shrimp. Marinate shrimp in ginger sauce for 30 minutes, then thread shrimp onto skewers. Arrange rack 5-6 inches from heat source and preheat grill. Grill shrimp until pink and curled, 3-4 minutes per side (can also broil instead). Remove from heat. Serve warm or at room temperature.
