    1 3/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 C. butter
    1 C. whipping cream
    1 C. pecans toasted

    3 lb. pears cored and sliced
    3 lb. apples cored and sliced

    Recipe



    Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until butter melts, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with pear and apple slices. Yields 25 appetizer servings.
