List of Ingredients
6 ounces unsalted butter ; softened
1 3/4 cups Louisiana hot sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 3/4 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
1/3 teaspoon onion powder
1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black ground pepper
1/3 teaspoon lemon juice
30 chicken wings
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 whole egg
3/4 cup milk
2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
6 stalks celery for garnish
1 jar bleu cheese salad dressing Recipe
Combine ingredients from butter through lemon juice in a medium saucepan and simmer 5 minutes on medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer. Wash wings and pat dry. Combine flour, Lawry's, garlic powder, and onion powder in a medium bowl. Combine egg and milk in a small bowl. Dredge wings in flour and spice mixture, dip in egg wash, and dredge in flour and spice mixture again shaking off excess. Deep fry in 375 degree oil until completely done and golden brown. Place cooked wings into pot of simmering sauce and toss to coat. Drain and serve. Repeat with remaining cooked wings. Serve with celery sticks and bleu cheese salad dressing.
Notes:
To cut down on fat, you can also cook wings in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until done, turning once, and then coat with sauce. However, first spray floured wings with cooking spray before baking.
