Recipe Introduction
"Chicken wings are fried and dipped in a hot, sweet, & salty sauce that contains soy sauce, sugar, green onion, garlic and hot chili peppers."
List of Ingredients
5 pounds chicken wings
Flour
Vegetable oil for frying
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) sugar
1/4 cup green onions chopped
1 clove garlic minced
4 hot fresh chili peppers Recipe
Coat chicken wings with flour. No seasoning is needed. Fry in vegetable oil. While chicken is frying, use gloves to protest your hands and remove the stems and seeds from peppers. Slice each as if you were going to chop them, but do not cut all the way through. (This allows the flavor and "heat" to infuse into the sauce, without adding pieces of pepper to the sauce.) Mix together soy sauce, sugar, green onions, garlic and the chili peppers. Once chicken is fried to a golden brown, let excess oil drip off, drain on paper toweling and immediately immerse into the sauce. Let stand for about a minute, then remove and place on serving platter.
Notes: The longer you leave the peppers in the sauce, the spicier it is, so be careful if children will be consuming the chicken.
