Mom's Marinated Wings

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2-3 lbs chicken wings (discard tips if desired)Recipe
Combine all ingredients except wings; stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over wings in a bowl small enough so the wings are covered. Cover and refridgerate overnight, stirring occasionally. Preheat oven to 350. Put wings on greased cookie sheet; bake 45-50 minutes; basting with remaining marinade occasionally (you can make a new batch of marinade to baste with, if you'd like). Good served hot or cold.
