2 lb boneless round steak (2 to 2 1/2) OR 1 pound ground beef
1 envelope dry onion soup mix (or 2)
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
Recipe
This recipe is also good for stroganoff, adding 1 cup sour cream at the end of cooking time and serving over cooked noodles. Ground beef can be substituted (1 lb). Cut steak into six serving-size pieces; place in a slow cooker. Combine soup mix, soup and water; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the meat is tender. Serve with mashed potatoes if desired.
