Chili: Chunky Pork and Sausage Chili

List of Ingredients
1 pound lean pork boneless loin -- cut into 3/4-inch piece
1/2 pound fully cooked smoked beef sausage -- cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 large onion -- chopped (1 cup)
2 medium stalk celery -- sliced (1 cup)
2 cloves garlic -- finely chopped
1 15 ounce can black beans -- rinsed and drained
1 15 ounce can chunky tomato sauce
1 10 ounce can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours (or high heat setting 3 to 5 hours) or until pork is tender. 6 servings. Substitution: For a "red and white" chili, leave out the sausage and use 2 pounds of pork Add a can of great northern or pinto beans instead of the black beans. Let everyone add his or her own special touch by passing bowls of shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped avocado, sliced jalapeno chilies, chopped onion, sliced ripe olives, chopped fresh cilantro and sour cream.
