Beans: Flatman Family Beans and Ham

List of Ingredients
12 ounces dried beans
5 cups water
2 cups diced ham
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup diced onion
1/2 cup finely minced carrots
1 teaspoon season salt
2 teaspoons beef bouillon
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pinch dill weed
1 pinch caraway seeds
1 clove garlic, minced
Recipe
If using beans other than Lima's. To make sure the beans are tender at the end of the cooking time, soak beans overnight, or boil on stovetop for 10 minutes prior to adding them to the crockpot. Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours or until beans are tender. Serves 3. Note: Use 4 cups water for Baby Lima beans. Use 2 T dried vegetables in place of 1 c fresh.
