    Centers:
    1 can chicken spread (Underwood)
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. soy sauce

    Batter:
    1 large egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt

    Recipe



    Mix all ingredients for centers. Make 15 to 18 small balls. Put into freezer for 20 minutes. Combine all ingredients for batter by hand. Heat oil in a deep fryer or wok. One at a time, dip frozen centers into batter. Then drop into hot oil. Cook until golden; drain on paper towel. Serve warm. Also can be prepared ahead, then reheated.
