    1 whole rack spareribs (about 4 lb.)
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    6 Tbsp. water
    vegetable oil
    1/2 c. bottled meat sauce
    1/2 c. catsup
    3 Tbsp. sugar

    Recipe



    Cut rack of ribs into individual ribs. Simmer ribs in water (enough to cover) in a large pan for 30 minutes or until tender; drain. Combine flour and cornstarch in a medium size
    bowl; blend in water until smooth. Coat each rib thoroughly. Pour enough oil in deep fryer or large saucepan to fill pan half full. Carefully deep fry ribs, a few at a time, 5 minutes on each side, or until crisp. Remove ribs to an ovenproof platter. Place in a warm oven. Spoon 2 tablespoons of oil from the fryer to a large skillet. Add meat sauce, catsup and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes or until sauce thickens. Add fried ribs; stir until ribs are thoroughly coated. Makes 6 servings.
