    "This is the answer to what to serve for breakfast or brunch when you have overnight guests. Put it together the night before and the next morning all you do is bake and enjoy. The bottom is custard, the flavors a lovely mix of cheese, sausage and egg. Folks go crazy for this one."

    List of Ingredients




    8 ounces breakfast sausage
    butter, as needed
    4 slices white bread, crusts removed
    1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
    3 eggs
    1-cup milk
    1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt pepper, to taste
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1 can (10 3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
    1/3-cup milk
    1/3-cup water

    Recipe



    In a medium skillet, saute the sausage until browned, crumbling it as it cooks. Drain off fat. Using paper towel, rub butter on the bottom and sides of an 8" square or 9" round cake pan or shallow casserole dish. Place bread slices in the bottom of the dish, overlapping if necessary. Top with the cooked, crumbled sausage and grated cheese.

    In a medium bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, salt and pepper and mustard. Pour over sausage and cheese. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. When ready to bake, in small bowl combine soup, milk and water until smooth. Pour over egg mixture. Place on the 1" rack. InfraCook on Power Level 7 for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
    Yield: 4 servings
