Latin Cheese Fondue

4 cups cheddar cheese
4 cups jack cheese
1/4 cup flour
1/2 garlic
12 ounces beer
1/2 cup diced jalapeno chiles
croutons
smoked ham
shrimp
red or green bell pepper
cherry tomatoes
avocado
tortilla chips
assorted savory crackersRecipe
Combine cheese, flour, and chile powder-toss to mix well. Rub inside of chafing dish or fondue pot with garlic, discard garlic. Heat beer in chafer or fondue pot. Slowly stir in cheese mixture, allowing each to melt before adding more. Stir in diced chiles. Serve hot, with croutons, ham, shrimp, bell pepper strips, cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, tortilla chips, and/or assorted savory crackers to the side.
