Recipe Introduction
" Rich, creamy chocolate fondue is the perfect ending to an impromptu dinner party. Keep some in the refrigerator&mdashjust in case! You can also serve the fondue as a sauce over ice cream or cake."
List of Ingredients
* 3/4 cup heavy cream
* 12 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 3 tablespoons any liqueur (optional)
* Cut-up fruit, cut-up cake, candy and/or snacks for dipping Recipe
1. In a medium saucepan, warm the cream over medium-high heat just until simmering. Remove from the heat; add the chocolate. Stir until melted. Stir in vanilla and liqueur (if using).
2. Serve in a heated fondue pot or a bowl set on a platter with the dipping goodies. (The fondue will still be soft enough for dipping after it has come to room temperature.)
Do Ahead: It's easy to keep this creamy dip on hand to entertain drop-in guests. Just cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. To serve, microwave on MEDIUM for 2 to 3 minutes, or warm in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
